It took us awhile but we've climbed back on that bull that bucked us off and rode it for the full 8 seconds. We were inspired by a homebrew competition in May in the Bishop Arts District in Dallas, Brew Riot (www.BrewRiot.com). We brewed a simple Session American Amber Ale in two batches on consecutive weekends. The first batch is already bottled and the second batch is in the secondary fermentor. This will be our first competition and although it would be great to have a good showing, we're just looking to hang out with fellow homebrewers and have a good time. If you plan on going to the event, send us a comment and we'll look for you there.

Brewing in Forney
This blog has been created to document the happenings of what I am calling "East Fork Brewing". Basically, it's just me and my buddies getting together as often as we can (but less than we'd like) and brewing our favorite beverage. To us, beer is more than just a means to get drunk and look cool (although those are acceptable effects). We hold beer in a much higher regard than the typical "weekend warrior". We see it as a GIFT FROM GOD! It is a beverage to be savored and debated. Unlike those masses in America that think beer should be like sex in a canoe, we like ours with lots of flavor and aroma. We like to be "beer-venturous"; trying various styles and offerings from various brewers. There aren't too many beers in this world, just too few days to try them all!
Happy Brewing!
